craigya 		PPC is where you pay for everytime a visitor clicks your ad. Whilst profitable is notorious for burning a large hole in pockets of people who don't know what they are doing.

Usually it is better to start Internet marketing with article marketing before progressing onto ppc. The best university by far for teaching these methods is generally accepted to be Wealthy Affiliate. It's fee paying but one can sample their materials for free below

craigya 		As other members give you kwoledge about PPC, I am giving you the some word of caution. You can get fast money by using PPC, but as you said you are new to PPC then it might be very risky. You can setup PPC account easily and you also setup campaigns easily. But your knowledge about how to right good ad, how to create relavent ad and other thing will make you loose your shirt. So, before intering PPC study it very deeply.

memissy 		PPC is stand for "Pay Per Click", meaning that you put ads using Google Adwords. If you ads appeared on my other people website and any of the visitor click on your ads, you need to pay to Google Adwords. Price is very much depending on what is your keywords.

Another aspect will be PPC for website owner, Adsense will be the program. Assume that you already got a website and you signed up with Adsense. Adsense will then give you a piece of code for you to put into your side so that some ads will display on your site. Any of your visitor coming to your site and click on the ads, Adsense will pay you some money.

Depending what you want, PPC can be business owner or website owner point of view.
