How can YA users go from attacking Kennedy to complaining about his name being used for Health care reform?

For the past few days they have said every rude and crude thing you can imagine about Ted Kennedy. Now those same users are complaining about Democrats bringing his name up for a cause that he fought for.

Because the Demoncrats are using the man's name to inspire their base to support Obama-care.
Look I agree the man supported the proposal all along & he wanted something like this for years, but they should have put his name to it before he died.
To do so now appears to be disingenuous at best, if not simply outright politics as usual.
I never liked the man & never had a good view of the family et al, but he did have the strength of his convictions.
Teddy was no more a saint than JFK or RFK and to attempt to canonize him thus is, to me, just turning him into a modern day Horst Wessel.

Well the thing is, as long as you’re on the side “they” want you to be on, it’s just fine to be hypocritical or two-faced.

Even when given the opportunity to prove they’re not being hypocritical, they don’t act upon it. Check it out:

It's their identity crisis's......Split personalities and all that jazz......They hate Kennedy.....they hate the health care proposals....you'd think they would LOVE that it's associated with Kennedy.....but no....they just love to hate.....whether rightly or not.

How can you condemn people for speaking their mind about their dislike of Kennedy (for any reason), then condone the use of his death as a political tool?

I don't get your point. Yes, we think it is opportunistic for the democrats to use Ted Kennedy's death as an excuse to urgently pass a bill that will destroy our economy. We also think it was sad that he let a young girl drown. Where is the problem with disagreeing with both actions?

It is absolutely opportunistic to guilt people into voting for something that doesn't address the core of the problems with the healthcare industry. Does it not bother you that there is nothing about tort reform in the bill?.

We dont "hate" health care proposals. We hate the ones that don't address the real problems.
